Tara Herschend brings over 13 years of technology and marketing communications expertise. As the lead Organizational Strategy and Internal Communications Consultant, she will oversee the newly formed Organizational Strategy division at Under My Umbrella Inc., a globally recognized communication firm founded in 2009. Tara excels in helping clients identify areas for improvement and implementing best practices that foster meaningful internal connections, enabling organizations to thrive from the inside out.

Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Tara has spent the last 18 years in Atlanta, where she built her career from the ground up. She began at CoreMotives as one of its earliest employees, playing a pivotal role in the company’s rapid growth in the marketing automation space. Her career later advanced to leading Watson Marketing client operations at IBM, where she collaborated with high-profile clients like Delta, Ticketmaster, Weight Watchers, Blue Cross Blue Shield and numerous professional sports teams and venues. Tara recently shifted her focus from external marketing to internal communications, driven by a passion for bringing the external communications strategy inward. In her role overseeing the North America portfolio for Haiilo, a global leader in employee communication and engagement software, she strengthened the business objectives from within by aligning internal messaging with the company’s broader vision. Her work, which has generated over $1 million in annual revenue, spans B2B, B2C, and Fortune 500 companies, where she specializes in bridging communication gaps, enhancing employee advocacy, and providing scalable solutions that optimize and modernize operations.

Tara’s leadership is deeply rooted in her passion for making a positive impact and nurturing relationships. Inspired by her family and mentors, she is committed to helping clients achieve their goals while fostering a culture of kindness and collaboration. Outside of work, Tara is dedicated to advancing children’s welfare, enjoys playing tennis, practicing yoga and treasures time adventuring with her two sons and husband.
